MICHAEL CARD Michael Card is an author, Bible teacher, recording artist, and former national radio host. During a career that spans over 35 years, Card has penned more than 27 books—including the 2006 Christian Book award–winner A Sacred Sorrow. He has also recorded more than 37 albums and written more than 440 songs such as the beloved classics “El Shaddai,” “Love Crucified Arose,” and “Immanuel.” Card has sold more than 4 million albums and written 19 No. 1 hits.

In everything he does, Card seeks to encourage his audience to join in his own journey to know and be known by God, through asking questions and entering into meaningful discussion with one another. Card's vision is to edify the body of Christ around the world by sharing experiences and resources, in the context of community, in order to help facilitate the growth of smaller and more intimate communities within his audience's own churches and neighborhoods. Michael is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biblical studies. He lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife, Susan. They have four children and two grandchildren.
