Our world is full of problems, and only Heaven has the answers. Proverbs reminds us that “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom” (Proverbs 4:7, NKJV). Take a closer look at this book and find practical insights for navigating today’s chaos—while glorifying God and pointing others to His life-changing truth.

Gary Hamrick

GARY HAMRICK began pastoring Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA in 1991 when 18 charter members asked him to become the first pastor of this new, start-up church. Today, Cornerstone Chapel is the church home to several thousand weekly worshipers, and it is Pastor Gary’s desire to equip them through the teaching of God’s Word, relating the truth of the Bible to everyday life in practical, relevant, and often humorous ways. He was ordained by Pastor Chuck Smith and the Calvary Chapel Association.

Pastoring in the shadow of the Nation’s Capital has allowed Pastor Gary various opportunities to meet and pray with Cabinet Secretaries, Supreme Court Justices, and members of Congress. Pastor Gary is on the Advisory Board for The Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. He also serves as the Chief Chaplain for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (the largest Sheriff’s Office in Virginia with 600 sworn deputies and 200 civilian personnel). His radio broadcast “Cornerstone Connection” can be heard weekdays across the country in 27 states and the District of Columbia.

Pastor Gary has been married to Terri since 1987 and they have three grown children (who also serve in ministry) and seven grandchildren.

Marty Goetz

A ‘Modern-Day Psalmist,’ Emmy-nominated Marty Goetz shares songs that feature Scriptures beautifully set to music. A ‘Jew born anew,’ Marty testifies that his life was changed when he discovered “the Jesus of the New Testament was the Messiah my Jewish people have been longing for.” In 2020, Marty and his wife, Jenny, began “House of Worship,” a livestream broadcast from their home every Tuesday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. Central Time. These online gatherings for worship, prayer, and fellowship can be found on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
