What does it mean to “prepare the way of the Lord” (Isaiah 40:3, ESV)? Christ followers should be looking to God in all things. Come encounter the passages of Scripture that teach you how to cultivate a heart that is ready, receptive, and reliant on Jesus. Respond to God’s call to surrender to Him wholeheartedly, trust Him completely, and abide in Him always—regardless of the season of life you’re in.

SARAH SHUST is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus and encouraging them to know Him deeply, trust Him fully, and live for His glory. She has served in a variety of ministry roles for over two decades, including as women’s pastor and children’s pastor at Church of the City in Franklin, Tennessee. Sarah graduated summa cum laude from Colorado Christian University with a degree in Biblical Studies and Theology. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband—Christian recording artist Aaron Shust—and their three sons. Sarah’s understanding of what it means to depend on God, surrender to Him, and trust in His steadfast faithfulness has been deeply shaped by caring for their youngest son, Michael, who has Down Syndrome and Autism. She enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family.
